Driver & Facilities Co-ordinator

To oversee the day to day maintenance of the building to a standard suitable to ensure guest satisfaction and all health and safety requirements.

To provide transport and tours for students, agents and other visitors.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

 

Facilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the buildings owned, leased or hired by the company.
  • Liaise with external contractors to ensure cost effective, prompt, high quality delivery of services in terms of function, health and safety, building works, garden and utilities.
  • Monitoring the condition of fixtures and fittings. Agreeing replacement/repair with General Manager.
  • Undertake required decorating, repairs and renovations as cost effectively as possible.

 

Driving:

  • Ensure that the vehicle, whether company or chartered, is checked for roadworthiness before each journey.
  • Clean and re-fuel as required before and/or after use.
  • Ensure enjoyment and safety of students at all times.
  • Provide students with local and historical information on tours.
  • Take sales staff on visits of the local area and to the summer schools with agents.

 Any additional duties as required by the business.

Person Specification:

Qualifications

(Essential)

  • Full clean driving licence (D1 classification with a PSV entitlement)
  • Drivers CPC
  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English

(Desirable)

  • First Aid certificate
  • A level standard of equivalent

 

Experience

(Essential)

  • Experience working in a similar position.
  • General maintenance experience
